This takes me back. Now that I listen to it, I can see that bands like Tweak and the Finkelsteins were South Africa's answer to the pop-punk craze at the time.

We can really see that the video of this song was influenced by Blink 182's All the small things. The intro riff sounds a lot like Sum 41's Fat Lip and he even sounds identical to Good Charlotte's Joel Madden when he says "Woah woah".

The Finkelsteins fell off the radar but Tweak did really well after rebranding as Crash Car Burn. They are not on the same level as Prime Circle or Parlotones but get less credit than they deserve IMO. They also are a product of pure passion to the craft because Garth (lead singer) mentioned that his lecturing job at UJ comes first.
