2001 Corsa lite with Hard starting when **WARM**

Hi all,

I have a 2001 corsa lite 1.4is that has developed a habit of hard start during the course of the last few months,

It happens 10 times out of 10 when the car is warm, first start of the day, it fires perfectly, when hot or after the fan has come on, it also stars just fine.

I have tried changing idle sensor, tps, cts, injectors, rail, map sensor, crank sensor, fuel pump relay and have added extra grounds to the car,

I will be changing the fuel pump tomorrow to see if that makes any difference,

Strangely enough, when you unplug the cts at any temperature the car fires up just fine...

I have access to diagnostic machine and hoping some kind person has the answer to my problem or possibly guide me in the right direction...

Ps. Have tried the corsa problem solver

Its fuel injection, what would be cause and remedy to vapor lock? Car starts fine when it's hot tho...

Oh, I misunderstood. Thought it was a hot start problem. So it starts fine when cold, fine when hot, but struggles in between? Weird.
 
What does it do when it doesn't want to start? No fuel or no spark?
Any flashes on the dash?

The immobiliser sometimes gives issue on them either the key or the flash chip in the ecu but you should see the engine light flash briefly if its that.

Engine light does not flash, immo status received as soon as key is turned in the ignition, checked via diagnostic immo data stream
 
hard of start, does the starter struggle to swing? or it just swing and swing?
If the starter struggles to swing the motor it can be starter, wiring to starter or battery nearing end of life.
If the motor swings and swings and then cough into life, then it could the air temp sensor being wonky. When cold it runs rich.(think choke on old cars) When hot it runs leaner. The inbetween stages it could try to start as a cold motor, when the motor is warm enough to run normal. Had the exact same issue on my Jeep. Different car, but same kind of issue.

Morning, starter runs perfectly, motor swings into life and starts coughing, changed the maf and coolant temp sensor. But yes you got the idea correct
 
Had a BMW 2.8i engine that gave problems when you start it for just a few seconds and switch off. Like start on my driveway just to move it a few meters. Then when you try to start again its a no go.
It was flooding. Known problem.
 
I had a Corsa a few years ago where the idle control valve would stick and it wouldnt start at all. Mechanic cleaned it and it was fine up until i sold it.
 
Cold-start injector is stuck open, leading to your engine getting too much fuel when you want to start it whilst hot.
 
Yes i have changed the temp sensor, today I had changed the complete fuel pump and housing, it may have fixed it, still in testing
 
Are you replacing sensors with aftermarket of oem . Some people swear that aftermarket sensors a big problem on opel
