I am new in the Western Cape Durbanville area.
Bought a golf about two months ago. 2days ago the oil light came on and off again. And then big clanking noise came as I accelerated. ....I reckon my oil pump packed up or the pick-up is blocked.
Think the damage is done, what I know of golf's and some friends feedback.......I have to replace the bearings. Something I won't take on myself as to will be dufficult from garage floor and have to buy tools for this job.
I also need to replace the pressure plate and clutch......might also do the flywheel?
The real question is where do I take the car? A trustworthy mechanic in the Cape Town area?
Can anyone give suggestions?
