So i recently got myself a 2003 Corolla 1.6 GLS. Ive taken out my sound from old car and wish to pump it in my new car :D
I have some questions regarding the installation (esp head unit).
The standard head unit are those "double sized" players. If i would replace this with my normal Mp3 player is it possible to patch/close the opening gaps?

Does anyone know if the Corolla players have RCA outputs?
I might just leave the standard player in the car and just hookup my sound to it.

I have 2x pioneer 1000W subs in custom built no port box, Audiobank 2000W 2 Channel and 600W 4 channel AMP.
I left the split system etc in old car il just be using my new cars speakers for the treble.

Think il take my car in for professional installation but I just wanted some help when it comes to the head player mainly.

Thanks :)

1) Yup. Most installer have them. Check on the net. They're about R200.00

2) Seriously doubt it - I'd get 95% chance they don't have RCA's ....

Thanks for you reply :)
I think just using my JVC would be best then, only i wont be able to view my car "computer trip" info.
I have a friend that drives the 1.8 GSX which has a separate glass panel with screen below the player that shows his trip info there.
Now with my car i have the same "panel" but nothing displays there. Is it possible to wire it up so the info can display there somehow?

I dunno exactly what that glass panel is and what it looks like :(

Sorry!

No problem, il ask the guys at the sound installation shop, maybe they can answer that :)
