Hi can anyone help me. I have a 2003 polo 1.4. the car just cut out the the other dayand refuses to start. Could it be the relay or a fuse. It does have gas. It is definitely electrical. Could it be the immobilizer. How can I by pass it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

There is a relay up behind the dashboard that can short out and cause this problem. Sorry, but it's a total nightmare to find. My Jetta did the same thing, and we only got to it by totally stripping the dash out of the car and then testing....a long and expensive job...I hope it isn't that :(

If you remove one of the cords going to the Spark plugs and put a Screw driver in it does it spark if you put it to metal and turn the key?

If not, see if the belts on the car is moving. Worse case scenario - Cambelt broke.
