Carvalho and Ballack set to miss FA Cup final

Good news........

Michael Ballack has no chance of playing in the FA Cup final for Chelsea while central defender Ricardo Carvalho will almost certainly miss the Wembley showpiece against Manchester United on May 19.

'Carvalho one percent, Ballack zero percent,' manager Jose Mourinho said on Thursday.

Bad news...

The good news for Mourinho was that striker Didier Drogba and winger Arjen Robben should be fit to face United. Neither played in Wednesday's 0-0 draw with the champions-elect.

'Robben has a real chance and Drogba will be fit,' Mourinho said.

Sunderland and Birmingham already promoted, it's Championship playoff time again.

Derby beat Soton 2-1 yesterday in the 1st leg, and West Brom are 1-2 up against Wolves right now. This is West Brom who had a run of 7 losses in 10 games a while back. Can't see either any of these teams staying up really.

Sunderland, who normally yo-yo, maybe...

I'm not. I think they deserved to go down. Tevez kept them up and he was signed illegally hence West Ham cheated. :(

I am torn on this issue. I agree that west ham cheated and that Tevez basically kept them up. so i guess they should go down. But Sheffield and Wigan were so poor, I don't want them to stay up either.

wigan are fine just had a bad run

team that went down deserved it

glad westham stayed up

remember under the new manager tevez has shone and is reportedly worth 20-30 mil

I think Sheff Utd did well at home at least. That last game was great. Full of guts and determination. Both gave their all to stay up while the "baby Bentley" boys cheated and relied on an illegally bought player to almost single handedly keep them up.

The more I think about it the more disgusted I become. I'd be ashamed if I was a West Ham supporter.

The previous chairman/directors/manager of West Ham cheated. The new chairman/directors/manager told fifa about irregularities they found in Tevez's contract when they took over. They were fined a record sum by the powers that be. They paid the fine. End of story.

And anyone who thinks having Tevez in the team helped them stay up should look at their begining of season form. I guarantee you if the Argies had never been bought by them they would have stayed up no problem. Having them in the team caused major problems.

Moaninho arrested

Jose Mourinho has admitted to being cautioned by police after an incident involving his pet Yorkshire terrier but pledged to co-operate fully with the authorities.
