Chelsea beat City by a penalty...gap is still 6 points. Arsenal hops over Liverpool..haha. Good.
 
yes but pool have games in hand so dont expect that to last long

meistral maybe if these english teams didnt play poorly against poor oposition they wouldnt be in this position

chelsea are always going on about how lucky united are, but how many times this season have they been lucky?
 
Arse have the game in hand actually. 2 points ahead with 1 game in hand. Jose Mourinho was spot on i must admit. He said Liverpool won't be contenders this year for the league. He'd rather worry abt Arsenal and ManU. hehehe...
 
o yes my bad got the 2 mixed up

he would rather worry about arsenal they are not contenders either

That's the solution - seed the teams in the Premier League:
ie:
top 6 of the previous year only play the 3 promoted teams once or
if any of the top 6 win by 5 goals or more against a team, then the losing team/s forfeit the return game 2-0

Sounds possible but loss of revenue for the FA or BSky is the hurdle.

Arsenal can still catch Chelsea :)
They 11 points behind now with a game in hand.. if they win that game its down to 8 points, if they beat chelsea in their upcoming game thats down to 5, and when man utd beat chelski thats down to 2 :)

As per my post above:

Solution to reducing the number of games the English P.League teams have to play. (considering replays for FA Cup games, CL, League Cup & as the other night - club friendlies)

The most viable solution though would be to reduce the # of teams to 18 again - which they had, I think, back in the 80s.

I see.

Well if the teams can't hack it then they will soon fall by the wayside.

United managed the Treble in 99 without a huge budget, playing more games than anyone else.

This year the Double Treble is a mere 14 games away, so i cannot say I agree with the notion of either eliminating draws or reducing the number of teams.

Fewer teams is a good idea when the league is sh1te, like in Scotland or here in SA, but not in England.

I guess you are right - I just don't want everyone (non MUFC fans) to think that we will use this excuse if we don't win the treble.:(

But then again - we can still turnaround and say 'We've done it before - have you?':)
 
a real relief is the tiny totts are out of the fa cup... another relief will be when blackburn are out :) man utd can do whatever they want with chelsea thereafter ;)
 
It's confirmed..Chelsea vs ManU game has been moved to May. Second last game of the season.. By that time, the league will be over. Chelsea to play four league games within a week or something. Good..Hope they lose all 4 games.

U mean they when they 'bought' it.

Instead of parading one trophy, we'll be parading 3 soon.
 
personally i think the only thing united will do this season is win the league

i think their form in champs league is nothing short of shocking

they might do the double at best
