2006 FA Cup thread

its nowhere near as prestigeous (sp) as any of the other cups tho.. its just more fixtures in an already busy schedule... did man utd play reserves all the way up till the final? :)

Don't get too excited. Watford would have beaten Liverpool last night. In fact they would also have beaten Arsenal. I think both sets of supporters should be very concerned.

mmm maybe, you dont think there was a bit of strategy involved? Liverpool are as deadly as Arsenal on a break so defense might've been all part of Arsene's strategy..and if it was, it worked... they defended really well in the first half.. second half was very shakey though.. definately missing Gallas, and Lauren should be back soon too.. Hoyte just doesnt seem to cut it..

Needless to say though, all 3 goals were class :) especially Rosicky's first... his play with Hleb, dont think too many teams on a good day could have prevented that goal.. my opinion tho :P

Rosicky played brilliantly.. Rosicky/Fabregas/Gilberto/Hleb in mid field, henry/van persie up front, thats gonna be one strong combination in the champions league :)

Pretty lucky I must admit...

United defence are showing poor concentration...SAF gotta be concerned. We've dropped so many points because of the last 15 minutes of a game. The defence must start reflecting on this problem.

But I mean we had SO many chances as well. Villa were not really in it.

United had 31 shots (18 on target)...Villa had 9 (5 on target).

Possession was 71 - 29.

Showed dominance but as SAF has said, missed opportunities will cost ManU. Hope they sort out their shots on goal as well as their defence.

Relieved we got through!!!

Benni had to score no matter what I see...good to see him doing well @ blackburn
