I have about had it with my car. Its a great car, really nice to drive, but for the past year I've had to change the clutch cable thrice, had someone change it last night, everything didn't go right.
The peddle was lying flat, tried adjusting it, and it just gets harder. There seems to be a loss of pressure somehow.

Does anybody else have problems with the clutch cable.
It started after the warrantee expired, how convenient.

Clutch cable...hhhm, replace the WHOLE clutch kitt Jasmine and it will dissapear!

In which city/town are you? I can recommend Barloworld city Centurion. Ask one of the guys to have a quick look.

Are you replacing it with pirate parts or genuine GM parts?

If the clutch cable keeps breaking then the first guy that replaced probably routed it wrong so it pulling against an angle or something.

Most of the pirate parts comes out of the same place the originals come from.....

As an Opel owner and out of personal experience the difference isnt just the price. Pirate parts have half the life of original parts.
If the first 2 were GM parts then the instillation was incorrect or you have a bigger problem causing them to break.

2006? Clutch cable already? Very strange, are you hard on the clutch? Riding it?
I'd say replace the whole kit by someone who knows what he's doing

Corsa B clutch cables usually last a long time, they do however sometimes break if the pedal itself is damaged. The clutch cable hooks inside the car by the clutch pedal, on a plastic hook. The cable is supposed to be held at 90 degree (straight) angle, if the hook is broken then it'll twist causing the cable to chafe and wear down very quickly.

Solution is to replace that plastic hook where the cable attaches. If your new cable has already worn you may as well get it over with and replace it because it's only gonna snap sooner or later, once one of the cables inside the cable have snapped they all snap eventually.

Lastly don't use anything but GM for those parts, generally I go for whatever is the cheapest but in this case I've seen COUNTLESS posts by people on the OpelOwnersForum of clutch cable failures because they didn't use the genuine clutch cable.

You should go to GM parts and ask which part you can replace on that clutch pedal, because a new pedal with eveything included will undoubtedly cost a fortune from them, optionally you can try A.S.A.P. Opel spares, or any other Opel Scrap yard (in the yellow pages) or the OpelOwnersForum - For Sale section.
