2007/2008 Premiership Footy Thread

Some interesting games this weekend...Would hope that United should cruise past Sunderland at home (probably 1-0 :p) seeing as we are still without an out and out striker.

Liverpool should easily beat derby who look relegated already to me...

Chelsea Aston Villa will also not be very close I don't think.

Everton Bolton could be interesting.

Arsenal Portsmouth as well..

Spurs are the flop of the season.. 40 million pounds and they still suck!

so much for everyone saying they'll be challenging the top 4 this season :) at this rate they'll be lucky not to get relegated
 
Can we believe this of Liverpool? 6-0 - Yeah, Derby are really poor opposition.
Glad to see Saha back. Hopefully it stays that way.

And a further surprise (good one at that) - Owen scoring. Too late though for an England place as I believe Young is in favour.

Liverpool did look good, but man Derby were just awful!

Glad to see Saha back. We REALLY need a striker right now. Still, Rooney and Ronaldo should be back for the Everton game and definitely for Chelski, so who knows...

So we are P5 W2 D2 L1....Same as 1998/99. Don't say I didn't warn you peoples ;)
 
AV 2 - 0 Chelsea in the last minute :cool:

If it weren't for dodgy opposition keeper blunders and horrific refereeing Chelski would only have 4 pts :eek: That would put them in the bottom half of the table :o:mad:

Oh and Liverpool blew away Derby 6-0. Could have had around 15 goals in 2 games if Kuyt and Crouch learnt how to header :D
 
That AV game was a good wake up call, got the loss out of the way early hopefully, they played very well, dominated possession, just couldn't find the damn net. Happens to everyone, looking forward to the game on the 23rd big time, first game I'm watching in my new house, moving on the 21st!

I'm actually glad that there are now more challengers for this year's title. Not one team is predictable yet. (except Derby :) )

Fanx, should be fun! Even bought a nice HD Samsung TV to watch my Samsung Mobile team on! Now just to paint, add on some more rooms, pay the gardening service, blah blah blah...

Yeah Arsenal were good, although their defense is shocking, 3 1 on 1 with keeper, not 1 scored, looking like a mega million pound strike force, right? They were a bit lucky not to go down a few more goals themselves.
