no merc they need quality players
no coach would help them, if big sam cannot make a team work nobody can
on season without big sam and bolton face the prospect of being relegated
I think a big mistake he made was not to bring in new players. The current squad is just not good enough to compete in the Premier League. They have a terrible defense, the midfield has Butt (past his prime) and Smith (not a midfielder by nature) and Owen is just not the same anymore and hasn't been for a while.
yeah. they need a new team. the best thing for newcastle would be if an american company takes over and pours millions into new players.

Blackburn - A source has confirm that Quinton Fortune has teamed-up with former Bafana Bafana colleagues Benni McCarthy and Aaron Mokoena and signed for English Premiership club Blackburn Rovers.
After an unsuccessful trial at Sunderland, Fortune travelled with the Blackburn Rovers squad to the United States on a mid-season break and did enough for Blackburn manager Mark Hughes to offer him a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Fortune has struggled with injury since leaving Bolton Wanderers whom he joined after becoming surplus to requirements at Manchester United.
With Blackburn pushing to qualify for a place in Europe this could be just the chance that Fortune has been waiting for.
His pedigree is well known but will he be able to resurrect his career after such a long lay-off?
