Rankin to Hussey, SIX, outside off and that's planted right over midwicket to end the match

I HATE to say it but yeah you gotta admire the Aussies for their professionalism! To finish Ireland off like that merely illustrated the point, Oz= no.1, Ireland= associate member! So when WE have the chance to show our class, we struggle to bowl teams out. Now before feo takes offense again  , to have a guy like Powell walk in and take our bowling attack for 48 runs not out, I gotta ask if we have the attack to challenge the Aussies? Our batting is our strength as evident in an earlier post where we saw the top batsmen and bowlers.

But in saying all of that, I am still proudly shouting: SA FTW!!!! :D

Tait.. bowl or throw? I know its slinging or what eva but still.. Also whats with the wrapped bowling arm? to keep it more straight when doing it? me not a fan of slinging they way tait and malinger do.. mainly cause when i was playing for clubs they said thats throwing.. reason i ask is if you watch his 'delivery' you will see a VERY noticable jerk in motion of his bowling arm. watch the slow mo side on as he 'bowls' and you will know exacly what i am talking about, straight or from behind its not as easy to see. most notable with his effort ball.

Both my wife and I picked it up as well. Tait is definitely bending his arm on the effort ball. I would be interested to see if the ICC takes a look. It's not really a problem as AB and Smith took him to the cleaners in the early overs. The problem I think is that the ICC has slackened with the rules to allow a 15% bend. I can't see what was wrong with the old 7%. Take a look at Bond to see how it should be done. Straight all the way.

Hey, no offense taken Fiekus :p , I totally agree with this^^, that our bowling is without a doubt lacklustre and letting a premium BOWLER like Powell and letting him BAT like that and almost get a 50 is ludicrous. SA doesn't have that killer instinct like the Aussies. We take it easy in the "easy" matches and go all out in the tougher ones, we always seem to make it difficult on ourselves to reach the knockouts but hey we can't undo matches so we just gotta hope that Smith and the guys play SMART and actually learn from their mistakes and put on their game face when the time comes (like today).

SA is gonna eat some nice kiwi fruit for lunch :p . So definitely SA FTW!!!!

thats why we always be 2nd to aussies because i think the aussies are big headed but ive actually had a change of mind

we are big headed, we go into games thinking they will be easy and we get burnt

the aussies walk into a game mow down the opposing teams with ease because they take every match like a final

we on the other hand think we are shiz and look whats happened

Killabob is right about SA being big headed, and overconfident - believing that prior to the start of this WC, they had it done and dusted and couldnt lose.

Due to the all-pace attack, the over rate suffered. He bowled to try and make up the over rate.
