Heya guys, I just wanted to know if anyone on here has a Jeep Wrangler. I am looking at getting me a 2007 or newer Sahara 2 door version. Now, I know it is thirsty and I know the gearbox could be better. I would like to hear from guys that drive one on a daily basis. However, I will only be using it as my Mozambique and Kruger car.

I like the idea of being able to remove the roof completely...

or just half of it.

Also not too fancy so wouldn't mind getting a scratch or 2 on it.

Gorgeous 4x4!

Not to punt another site but try HERE (It's South African so you'll get local opinions, problems etc.)

after spending and enjoying much of farcry 2 in a wrangler i was actually tempted to buy one, test drove it and everything, not a bad drive but i decided i needed something a bit more practical.

Lol, that game is so boring, all you do is drive around all the time. Those cars don't like bullets though!

I had a 2008 Jeep Rubicon - 2dr. Great fun! Like Jase said, not I would want to punt another forum here, but you will get great advice on that forum. They have a Jeep sub-forum which is very active.
You are welcome to ask questions.

I just picked up a new Jeep Wrangler Sahara on Friday. It's a brilliant vehicle, yes its pretty thirsty, but I'm very happy with the purchase. Just take note, space is obviously limited. For me its fine as I only carry 2 people and remove the rear seat completely for luggage. If you are going to carry more than 2 people consistently, consider getting a trailer, or go for the 4 door model. The 2011 spec is very nice inside, and if you can wait for and afford the 2012 spec, that would be the cherry on top.

The game had its fair share of problems but it did alot of things right, compared to the usual linear fps campaigns it was awesome despite all its problems, it was extremely repetitive though.

Thanks for the advise. I noticed that there is not mush space if the back seats are in. I do have a trailer that I will be using.

What about your Civic?! The Wrangler is an awesome and very capable 4x4. I was more impressed with it on a recent trail than I was with the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Prados that were there. It navigated the obstacles effortlessly. I considered buying a second-hand one myself a couple of months ago, but my finances don't allow for it right now...

I will still keep the Civic for my coastal trips and use the Wrangler for bush stuffs :)

So I am finally busy getting a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Came a long way since I started this thread.

Not many cooler vehicles out there, congrats end enjoy.

Got any 4x4 excursions planned? You should do Sani quickly before they finish tarring it.

I have a trip planned to the Baviaans Kloof area. Going to stay in the Makkedaat Caves! Looking forward to that a lot. I am also planning a Kruger 4x4 trip, not sure how technical that will be.
