Hi everyone,

I will soon be in the market for 'n bakkie and have always been attracted to the Navara.
I came across a 2007 Navara 2.5 Auto on the net and it has just over 125k on the clock and looks in good condition.

Are there somethings that I need to look out for in this particular model and what can I expect on fuel economy?

Thanks

Afaik Navaras drink fuel like there is no tomorrow. More than one person has told me this. You will be lucky to get 12l/100KM.

It is a large, heavy vehicle though so it is kind of to be expected. Although the newer Amaroks can easily go below 10l/100KM

Your reply shows you know nothing. Why did you have the need to reply?

Prove me wrong? A quick google on fuelly / 4x4 community shows I am pretty much correct.

What does your post add? Why did you have the need to reply?

4x4 Or 4x2? For its size the it is frugal. How many 2007 amarok are there in the same price class? How did you determine that based on the OP's original thread the amarok is the best choice?

Christ, did your wife leave you or something over the weekend?

It isn't exactly frugal. Newer large DC are much less thirsty such as the Amarok (example). When did I say the Amarok is the best choice?

OP asked a public forum about the Navaras fuel efficiency to which I replied with knowledge that can be backed up. You come out swinging but even provide less value to the thread

Miserable prick.

OP I apologise for Bratler's behaviour. Clearly it looks like his lover tried to smother him this weekend and thus is unable to answer sensibly.

You will haven't provided anything to this thread besides attack me for some reason?

Because you running amok on the internet unchecked, I have written to the public protector about your behaviour, it is very upsetting. Even the OP hasn't posted since your diatribe.

OP here is somebody that wanted similar information albeit for a Pathfinder (FAO Bratler The Pathfinder has the same under pinnings as the Navara)

Wow grubscrew that was pretty uncalled for. In every single discussion on "is this car a good buy" there has been a mention of fuel economy, that relates to whether it is a good buy or not.

You could be right rocket-boy, I will take your post under consideration.

My uncle has a turbo diesel Navara, he bought it a month ago. It's an auto, looks very nice but is not that quick, my other uncle has a turbo diesel hilux and the hilux would kick the navaras arse in a race

This thread should be cleaned up. Haven't seen such handbags in a while.

OP if you like the navara then fuel economy shouldn't be a consideration. I like these things as well but I'm doing too many km's to even consider these bad boys.

Lol, seems that I touched on a sensitive topic over here ;)
I heard that the autos where a bit sluggish, might have to drive both the manual and the auto to get a better idea.
Thanks for the responses so far!
