Asking on behalf of a colleague

Her Yaris has a intermittent issue every couple of weeks or so where it would just swing without starting, if left for a hand full of minutes normal operation resumes. There aren't any warnings around or at the time from the car. I have checked as many connections to sensors as I could the last time this happend but couldn't find any issues

Has anyone had a similar experience or any advice?

EDIT: Initially it will swing, start then die after about 2 seconds.

Any noise when swinging the key from the engine or the starter and does it die after ignition?

No odd noises no, initially it will start then die after 2 seconds, starts only once though, thereafter it just swings.

Sounds like the Coil pack not delivering the spark needed.
But it could also be a blocked fuel line/filter.

You need to check if the sparkplug gets the sparks
