Now WTF is Man City buying forwards? don't they need any other players besides forwards?

AFAIK... they want to sign Kolarov and have already signed Boateng. Kompany started out a sweeper and I reckon he will be moved into central defence to give Yaya space in the midfield. However, I just don't see a place for all the for4wards they are buying/looking to buy. I've never rated Adebayor but they also have Tevez, not to mention that they have Johnson and Villa and it really looks more like they will play with two forward/wings supporting a main striker. Buying Balotelli and Dzeko would be a bit silly but hey - we don't know what Mancini has up his sleeve tactics wise so who are we to speak?

Boateng was solid in the WC, great signing for city

You reckon he might be a bit young for a side that is looking to win a few trophies this year? Sure he was good at the World Cup, but will he be able to translate that kind of form into a season that is as packed as the premiership is? Though to be honest, I really don't think they will rely on him that much...

1. I don't reckon Sneijder is going anywhere. Chelsea like their Germans and if anyone is going to come it'll be Mr. Piggy

2. Really hope Joe Cole goes abroad - it would be so much better for him to go to a league where flair players are welcomed instead of chastised.

who's mr Piggy?

haha Fabregas was photographed wearing a braca shirt when he was partying with Iniesta and Xavi I think, they asked him to put it on :D

Actually, according to a translation I just ran... steiger can mean many things...

Foreman, overseer (as in mining)
Womanizer (?!)
Feeder

So you were referencing the second thing then, yes? Pig Porker?

EDIT: Then again, he plays for a team that has "The Manly Shaft" as their nickname... so all fair I guess.

Anyway............... back to footballing transfer conjecture. Apparently Dan Gosling has agreed to sign for Newcastle on a free (as Everton messed up his contract renewal)

Oh yeah - and Bradley Carnell signs for Supersport United. It's official apparently.
