2010/2011 Transfer Thread

Robinho is an excellent player but I agree with stefan9. What's the point in having an excellent player on your books that gives 100% only when it suits him and feels nothing to bugger off to Brazil when he's a little homesick in the middle of a season. Some of these 'professional footballers' really grate me. These guys get paid outrageous sums of money, get to retire in their early 30s (and if they play their cards right, never have to 'work' again) but some still have the audacity to be little prats.

N.E.Way....

In a nutshell: Robinho is a talented little prima donna and I pity any team that signs him.

AWESOME NEWS! Juve will definately strengthen this season! but until I see the deal announce on Juventus.com I'm still wary on the deal...

You think they will be interested in a player swop involving Almunia and Buffon? :p

LOL, mybrother always bugged me about how I could be glad that he was sold to Real Madrid - then he started getting it with all the injuries to Van Persie. Now he hates injury-prone Dutch players as much as I do. No place in a team for those. Bayern are just lucky that Robben has played the majority of the games for them. Once he finds a convenient blade of grass to fall over, he'll be out for 6 months again...

Yeah, seems like if you're a Dutch player the more talented you are, the more likely you are to fall over, the longer you take to heal! I think Wenger needs to reserve Van Persie for the big games and keep him wrapped up in cotton wool the rest of the time.

So apparently Neymar has signed a new deal with Santos that will keep him with the club for at least another 5 seasons. The new buy-out clause is 45 mill Euros. Now for Chelsea to turn their sights back to Lu***u.

Hmmm... So Santos rate Neymar as David Villa + €5 million? Sneaky bastards these Santos folks be.

Well considering he just got off his mom's tit and Villa is a good three years from retirement, I don't think it's too much to ask. Who knows, maybe the fact that they convinced him to stay is a just going to make him into a better player... unlike the veritable assembly line of "he's the next Pele" ultra-failures that seem to come out of Brazil in such large quantities. Also... the government could step into the mix and practically forbid him to move like they did with Pele. I don't mind in the least to be honest. Luk.aku should be groomed to replace Drogba and the Drog has about three to four years of good footy left in him. Not like last season, but he'll still be handful for any defender in the next 2 years and a great squad player the following two...

Latest from the dutch and italian market sites/papers is that drik kuyt will sign for inter next week. Deal is said to be worth about €10 million + one of obinna,a.mancini or david suazo.

You gotta laugh...

Rajkovic & Matic will be going on loan to Chelsea B (Vitesse Arnhem) in what will hopefully be the start of a beautiful relationship. Nope, Abramovich did not coordinate the buyout of Vitesse... not at all. Shame about Rajkovic though - needs a work permit to play for Chelsea and he is an outstanding defensive prospect. I reckon if he can dislodge one of Vidic/Subotic from the national team he will be chelsea's first choice within two years. Bruma/Rajkovic would be a second Terry/Carvalho combination...

Pinch? the Dead Sea doesn't have enough salt in it to make that rumour credible.
