What makes me laugh the most about them is when they 'break' a rumour, then in the next couple of days say that the 'rumour going around' is completely false. You started it you twats!

So Frank Arnesen has gone directly to Florentino Perez to tell him we did not tap up Sergio Ramos. Apparently what happened was that Ramos' agent called Chelsea directly to know if they wanted to sign Ramos. Shows you how much agents are to blame for some of these transfers being publicly fought.

Though in all honesty - with Barca's tactics no agents are needed...
 
United still in the hunt for Meireles? The chaoirman says he's not being used because his head isn't in the game due to the approaches of Chelsea and United. Ancelotti has already stated that he won't buy another player (except maybe a goalie, but that's just my opinion) so maybe Utd are still in there?

Liverpool move fast to sign Raul Meireles from Porto for £10.7m

Liverpool have moved quickly to replace Javier Mascherano by agreeing a £10.7m package with Porto tonight for the Portugal international Raul Meireles.

Meireles, one of Portugal's more impressive players in the World Cup, is understood to have agreed personal terms and, if everything goes according to plan, the deal will be completed over the weekend, dependent on the 27-year-old passing a medical examination.

The transfer was rushed through this evening after Mascherano finally got his wish to leave Anfield, joining Barcelona in a £20m deal that freed up the money for Liverpool to bring in a cheaper replacement.

Meireles is available for a low fee because he only has two years of his contract left and Porto have been trying to sell him rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in the future.

The player has been prominently linked with Manchester United over the past month but does not fit into the club's policy under the Glazer family of not signing players for big money if they are aged 26 or above, Dimitar Berbatov being the exception to the rule.

Liverpool do not operate with such restrictions and the manager Roy Hodgson will hope Meireles can make his debut in the league game at Birmingham City tomorrow week.

Liverpool have agreed a fee of £4 million with Fulham to sign left back Paul Konchesky with the possibility of youngsters Lauri Dalla Valle and Alex Kacaniklic heading to Craven Cottage.

According to the Daily Mail, 19-year-old Valle and Swede Kacaniklic have been requested by Fulham who may leave Anfield on a loan deal.

While Konchesky looks to be added to the Liverpool squad, Lucas Leiva sets to make his way out of Anfield after reports suggest his family haven't settled on Merseyside.

Nicolas Burdisso has gone to roma. He prefered roma over juve. Funny how roma suddenly found the €8 million we wanted the moment juve put that on the table while before insisting they wouldn't go above €5 million.

That's why Cantera is bitching about Ibra's agent, Barca had hoped to flog him to City for a lot more quid than they could get from Milan.

Didn't Mancini manage Ibra in his time at Inter? Maybe he was 'offered' Ibra and politely declined.
