2010 Brazilian GP

If Vettel wins the last race then all Alonso have to do is finish 3rd or 4th and he will be champion, but if Webber wins Alonso must then finish 2nd. So let see who will win the championship.

Come on webber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in the game man!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm almost ready to put money down on the last race, Vettel knows what is at stake, they will do as the did in Brazil, but if Alonso is 3rd, Vettel will give first to Webber... watch it happen!!! My prediction!

Yup.

I do really hope Mark brings his A-game this weekend, though. Vettel needs another year or 2 to mature, lest he turns into a Schumacher-like arrogant git and Alonso... I just really don't want to see that handbag-swinging prima donna ever win another title.

Well if Alonso does win, he deserves it. He has controlled his team and drive very well... the man is unfortunately that good!

He has also been a bit lucky in my opinion.

Vettel has done exactly the same thing except that he has been very unlucky. Had luck gone his way i reckon he would have been champion already.

Yeah I'm with you on that +110% but you got to give Alonso credit for doing what he has with a slightly inferior car. twice now Vettel has dropped out of a race from P1 due to car failures. Thats 50 points, so ya, do the math!

-12 for Massa's pull over?

-12 for Massa's pull over?

Why? Alonso was faster and would have taken a chance to get 1st. So you have a choice let your drivers pull a redbull or give the only person with a championship hope the place.

Made sense to me at the time, massa is useless how was he going to compete for the world championship?

I don't think that was -12 at all.

Thats racing. Anything can happen in any race, and reliability is as much a factor of the race as a drivers skill or the cars superiority. Vettel annoyed me a little in the interview after the race when he kept insinuating he wanted the Ferrari to bow out of the race. If that's how he wants his first title........

It disappoints me to see how Massa is struggling to just keep up with Alonso, let alone actually put up a fight.

Phree dude he was joking about how he would like it to end. He needs something bad to happen to alonso or he cannot win it so i thought it was nice to see him joking about it :D.

There is no way good way to win a championship, i mean if alonso wins, it will only be because vettel's car let him down so many times, so it's only fair that perhaps alonso's engine should blow with 9 laps remaining :D once this year perhaps :D

Massa always struggled though, even the year he almost won it it was only because lewis had such horrid luck that he got anywhere close to the title. He cannot drive in the wet either, must be one of the worst wet drivers in f1 ever.

Rules? Massa actually won that race, regardless of how vrot he is...

+1

If i remember correctly, Alonso was around 3 tenths quicker per lap which shows he was faster ofcourse but does not mean that he'd have passed Massa. Alonso is not the best overtaker on the circuit, taking that into account and the fact that there were probably only 2 overtaking opportunities on Hockenheim(turn 2 & the Hairpin) both of which Alonso was never really close enough. Holding a tight line into the hairpin was easy enough to keep Alonso at bay irrespective of the highly favourable slipstream and YES even Massa could do it (and done it).

imo, If it were not for team orders, his helmut would been gushing tears! "This is ridiculous" "this is unfair" "why do I have to work hard to pass my team mate"

Edit. Removed section as it was an uneccesary rant

As much as I know that he joking, it was just his harping on it that was "off-putting" if I can say it like that :D
I'm not a super serious guy, so can appreciate some humour, as long as that is how it's meant....

I agree with the winning of the championship. Both teams have really had their bad luck. I think the only real "nothing" championships where when Ferrari and Schumi were doing so well!!

Out of interest, do the peeps that watch F1 support drivers or teams?? I am a team player.... support Ferrari above it's drivers. Used to be peeved with Alonso when he was with Renault/Mclaren, now he's my go-to-guy :D

I have a favourite simply because of his driving style but other than that as a racing enthusiast of all forms, I just like to see good quality racing and not off track bitching (on track too - Read . Alonso)

So yeah, I guess it's the drivers then :)

Drivers.

Don't have anyone specific either that i support. F me i watched the moto GP before the f1 and o my gosh that is an intense ride. 30 laps of action .

I saw more action in 30 laps of moto gp than i have the entire season of f1 haha. For some reason i cannot sit through a good moto gp but can sit through 2 hours of f1.

Brazil was always great for closing the season because its a tricky circuit. anti clockwise and very high g turns. now the arabs have disvovred plenty oil and are desperate to put their country on the map bagged the epilogue with a simple track. i dont think it would match Interlagos 2007 and 8

The arabs only just discovered the oil?

Goodness me must be amazing suddenly finding all that oil. Wow last year we were arabs in the heat now we are arabs with oil!!!!!
