As you might know, we have been running the E-Commerce Awards for the past few years. This year it will be called the Online Shopping Awards.
We really want to uplift the best online shops in the country. In the past we allowed the public to vote, but this just caused Stores to try and hack the system and vote for themselves (luckily they did not succeed). We might consider writing a Facebook App this year to allow for better control over the users, or maybe just a login with your facebook account.
Last year we also graded sites based on certain criteria, because it really works on our nerves when a online shop only works in Internet Explorer. We also ordered a single item from every nominated shop (with an pseudo name), and this gave us a good indication of the shopping experience.
I would really love some suggestions on what you think makes the best online shop, and what do you think is important when shopping online
