Hi everyone I'm looking to buy a Sport Car and I recently contacted a dealer they have a Golf R 2012 with 83000km on the clock for R344000, is that normal pricing for this car or I can get it much cheaper from another dealer?
 
Don't know if serious or trolling.
 
5 year old car @ R7500 a month.

A car is worth as much as you willing to pay for it.

The principle of wiling buyer willing seller. So if no one's buys it, it was overpriced. If someone buys it was correctly priced.
 
Wow, asking that much for a car that old?!
You should ask them what they are smoking or snorting and offer a better product.
This is a dealer Trolling and trying their luck.

Dude, you are that desperate buyer that a car salesman can see walking up the lot. The one where they start smiling and rub their hands
 
I think that the price is a bit steep, especially for a manual. There is a much bigger market for the DSG box, so I'd be surprised if the car sold for that.
 
Yah and they are not willing to negotiate they say it's a Sport Car
 
That price sounds about right but I wouldn't spend R350k on 5 year old car.
If sportiness is the main criteria look at Subaru, Focus, Megane flagships.
Not much slower than a R.

I would rather choose the R than any of those mentioned.
 
I wouldn't touch it unless i knew who the original owner was and knew how it was treated.
Then you have the other issues like Insurance and the probability of it getting stolen or hijacked.
Also R344K for a 5yr old golf that isn't considered a sports car or classic is way too much.
But hey that's my 2c and opinion
PS Nice colour though was it sprayed that colour after an accident/repair or is it std? If not std trying to match it will be a laugh.

I must say I like those shape Golf R models. The OP's R option is priced too high & it's the "wrong" colour. The much better value Gumtree blue one mentioned Iooks like a much better option.
 
Yah I think the price is too much plus the mileage is not low enough although it's a 5 year old car
