It will have to be priced below the Cerato which starts at R185k and the current Rio starts at a little over R150k, lets hope it stays there.

hmmm, kia are making some really nice looking cars. Definitely starting to get more competitive in the market. Wonder if its still a boring drive.

Two turbocharged diesel options are available; a 1.1-liter triple that generates 81 horses and 69 pound-feet of torque or a 1.4-liter unit producing 89 hp and 159 lb-ft. Both diesel burners and the 1.4-liter gas engine are paired with a six-speed manual while the 1.25-liter gas-sipper gets a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-liter gasoline engine is also available with a four-speed automatic."

IIRC there was also mention of a 1.6 L engine with 100kw output...? The engine also switches itself off when you stop at robots to conserve fuel.

Very sexy! I can see some similarities with with upcoming Picanto which is going to be a major departure from the current Picanto we have come to know.
