Find it rather strange that the new Honda Ballade has a 7" infotainment screen with a review cam and more while the much more pricey Civic; Accord; CR-V & CR-Z have more basic systems...

Yeah, heard the advertising on the radio earlier and I was like 'what!!!!' Thought I misheard ballade

 Plastic silver trim, why, why, why?
I think they are 'Europeanizing' their styling a bit too much. A few years ago you could clearly tell which cars were from Japan or Korea and which ones were designed in Germany or Sweden or wherever they hail from...these days not so much.

It reminds me of the USA spec Toyota Corolla on the inside a bit, especially the silver bits:

EDIT: At least it isn't beige like the Brio :D

Does it still have the ridiculously ugly front and rear with tiny wheels?

The 7" infotainment screen will become the norm on all Honda models. Can pair your i-Phone or Android phone with it. Quite nice. I quite like the look of the interior. This is a budget car after all.

I have seen it in person - that dash looked really great for its price. Maybe the SA ones have toned down silver bits...

UPDATED HONDA BALLADE FOR SA: WE HAVE PRICING!

The facelifted Honda Ballade is due to launch in South Africa in the coming weeks, and we’ve managed to source pricing for the slightly pared back local range.

The updated Ballade (known as the City in other markets) features a new grille, redesigned headlamps, new LED daytime-running lights and an updated front bumper.

Round back, there’s also a new bumper while fresh alloy wheel designs (and perhaps some new paint options) are furthermore expected to be offered.

It is not yet confirmed whether SA-spec models will feature the new 7,0-inch touchscreen infotainment system seen in overseas markets. However, the 1,5-litre, four-cylinder engine is untouched, and still delivers 88 kW and 145 N.m.

The current line-up comprises six derivatives: three trim levels, each offered with the choice of a five-speed manual gearbox or continuously variable transmission (CVT). The facelifted range, however, will see the manual version of the range-topping Executive specification fall away.

The tweaked range will start at R238 800 and run through to R307 200 (up from the outgoing line-up’s R232 800 and R297 300 bookends).

Pricing:
Honda Ballade 1,5 Trend: R238 800
Honda Ballade 1,5 Trend auto: R254 200
Honda Ballade 1,5 Elegance: R267 800
Honda Ballade 1,5 Elegance auto: R283 200
Honda Ballade 1,5 Executive auto: R307 200
