Thought the same thing, but after watching the Tuks game last night it actually worked very well, the only problem I have with the experimental law changes is the Free Catch. It will destroy the up-and-under compeletly with the free catch it does not give you the chance to compete for the high ball

Yip - there was NO kicking yesterday - at least by Pukke. Sad, because kicking is a useful tactical tool.

What a great game by NMMU. We outplayed them completely in the first half. A bonus point win, and a great crowd, what a way to start the season.

Cup results:
NMMU 45-29 Stellenbosch
UP-Tuks 18-18 UJ
UFS 31-15 Wits
UCT 24-47 NWU

Shield results:
UKZN 12-14 UFH
UWC 31-34 TUT

No doubt. I agree with your pocks and am hoping for an NMMU win.

In the shield, TUT play Fort Hare and CUT play UWC.

The Maties vs Ikeys and UFS vs NWU matches will be on SS1.

Wow, Maties seem to really be struggling.

Looks like the NMMU and Pukke will be front runners this year.

// Happy dance for calling NMMU by 3 :D

UJ vs Wits on SS now. Tuks vs Shimlas at 7.

NWU vs Stellies and NMMU vs UCT are at 7 and not televised.

UCT!!!! :D :D :D...a huge win at Fortress NMMU! :p

Such a dissapointment, and the last minute try took our bonus point too. We need to win against NWU next week as we have 3 away games after that.

UJ 32-15 Wits
Pukke 21-33 Maties
NMMU 13-26 UCT
Tuks 26-0 Shimlas

UWC 24-33 UKZN
TUT 18-39 CUT

UCT & Maties surprised me a tad, but I am happy that the competition is so nice and open now.

TUKS is the only undefeated team left.

Can't believe that NMMU were destroyed like that.

Well done to Wits for a great result.

lol at Ikeys getting blown out of the water by Tuks. This after some very dodgy calls against Tuks by the refs.

Tuks had something like 5 or 6 SA U20 players. The result was not really surprising, especially considering Tuks are also the reigning champions. The Ikeys forwards actually did very well...our backline let us down.

Sjoh, didn't know that. Yeah, they played very well last year, so one would expect some continuity. Even though they lost some big names to the Bulls.

Agreed with this, especially in the first half when they were ahead for most of it. They did some pretty stupid stuff at times, though. Like blatant offsides when Tuks are on their try line. Practically gifts them points.
