Yes the price is slightly steep new, as they've always been (that is why you buy demo Jeeps), but there you go again. So the Fiat has the same suspension, drivetrain and 4x4 systems as the Jeep Renegade?

Yes the price is slightly steep new, as they've always been (that is why you buy demo Jeeps), but there you go again. So the Fiat has the same suspension, drivetrain and 4x4 systems as the Jeep Renegade?
Seems I'm in the minority in really liking this vehicle then! 
But I do - like the shape, the size. Just not the price but then, I don't like the price of most new cars so no use crying over milk under the bridge, so to speak.

Keep hearing the advertisements on the radio on how the Renegade is built on years of Jeep heritage. Can't help but think how dishonest that is. Should have read it's been built on years of Fiat heritage!

It has landed. Looks good. Quality of the finish is great. Boot size about the same as my old Patriot, though the car looks slightly smaller... Trailhawk will only be here in October-ish.

Tell us about that spec level,wrt to the higher prices.
In particular the infotainment system & what not.

Drove past the launch at Fiat Fourways last night on my way home. Car looks amazing. Pity the price isn't good...

that 9 speed gearbox, is also a jeep thing - in 1999, the GC had a 6 speed gearbox, labeled as a 5 speed Auto, with two second gears
maybe it will work out, maybe not

Best way to describe is Jeep is boxy & Fiat is round.
Jeep interior looks better though...

You all know my views, however, I must just add, that the sound system that incorporates everything in the Fiat and the Jeep, is bloody brilliant - why other manufacturers cannot standardise on a system like this, I just don't know!
