I'm coming to say exchange rate. These Ceed guys are catering for Euro markets + Kia has the decent Cereto locally to fill that segment.

Yeah, but i'd rather have the Ce'ed over the Cerato..... at least in terms of the specs I've seen of the UK one....

The SW hides it's bulk very well and looks very practical, it looks great.

A Kia executive says that the Korean automaker plans to become “a benchmark on ride and handling”.

Michael Cole, the brand’s European chief operating officer, told Autocar that the company was placing renewed focus on dynamics.

“Dynamics is a key focus for us, with teams working on it across the business. We have built a reputation on design, quality and reliability, but now there is a lot of focus on ride and handling. We also want to be a benchmark on ride and handling,” Cole told the British publication.

“We can compete, but we want to better that and be renowned for our dynamics as well,” he added.

Cole went on to say that the 2015 appointment of former BMW M development chief Albert Biermann showed just how serious the company was about achieving this target.

“[Biermann] chiefly works on performance cars like the Optima GT, but his influence is now felt everywhere, and he’s more involved across the business. He’s a sign of our commitment that we want to make this a real strength across our brand.”

Biermann, of course, last month confirmed that the automaker had plans to roll out a variety of hotter GT derivatives of various existing Kia models.
