"When passion for motor racing is the driving force and intense open-air pleasure the goal, the new MINI John Cooper Works Convertible takes the ideal line from the word go. The second John Cooper Works model of the latest generation combines engine and suspension technology optimised for use on the race track with distinctive design and equipment features as well as the extensively refined qualities of the new MINI Convertible. This lends even greater fascination to the vehicle concept of an open-top 4-seater with outstandingly sporty performance properties that is still unique in the small car segment."

A small convertible? The masses will go crazy over this one.

My sister-in-law has the previous model's convertible but I think that with her, it's more a midlife crisis :D

It's a Mini...it's nice.

Personally, I will never have a convertible (in my 20's I thought I wanted one). Can't see the need for it, I always think people will spit on me (:p).

I was driving a BMW convertible for a few years. I don't think it is a practical car. It is either too cold or too hot or too wet to drive with the roof down. You also stand out as a target for robbers - I was a victim myself. The coolness factor quickly wears off and you tend to keep the roof on. Just see for yourself how few convertibles actually drive with the roof down. It is a great car at the seaside but the once a year driving there does not justify it.

Sat in the hard top the other day and it's a really, really nice cabin. Everything feels quality inside. Just a shame about all the negatives that come with the mini. "Chicks car", Jub Jub wannabe... Btw, is maintenance still an issue.
