Sadio Mane closing on Liverpool move with medical coming on Monday

Sadio Mane will undergo a medical at Liverpool on Monday after they agreed a £30m fee with Southampton for the forward.

A deal to sign Mane could be completed by midweek, making him the fifth player from St Mary's to join Liverpool in the last three seasons.

Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne are still at Anfield, while Rickie Lambert moved on to West Brom after just one season with his boyhood favourites.

The 24-year-old would be Liverpool's fourth new signing for the 2016-17 season, following deals for midfielder Marko Grujic, centre-back Joel Matip and goalkeeper Loris Karius.

A £30m fee would make Mane the club's third most expensive signing, behind only Andy Carroll and current Reds striker Christian Benteke, a £32.5m arrival from Aston Villa last summer.

The Senegal international has scored 21 Premier League goals in 67 games since signing for the Saints from Red Bull Salzburg two years ago.

Mane scored twice against Liverpool in March as Southampton fought back from 2-0 down to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory at St Mary's Stadium.

If Mane does leave, he would become the second high-profile departure from Southampton this summer, following Victor Wanyama's move to Tottenham.

Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic has announced he is looking to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.

Commenting on his Facebook page, the Serbia international wrote that he intends to leave the club he has been associated with for eight years but did not provide any details on a future move.

Despite signing a three-year contract last summer, Subotic suffered injury problems and fell down the pecking order during the past campaign, making just 11 appearances under head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Subotic wrote: "Dear friends, last year I realised that my love of football in an active role on the pitch is too big to just be able to see it from the outside."I am now at the best age for a footballer and naturally want to use this time to bring me and my team forward every day and to have the feeling of being needed on the pitch.

"I don't want to earn my money sat on the bench, but to be an active part of a story as I was until last year. I hope you can understand.

"BVB are the club of my heart and always will be."

Subotic has been linked with a move to Liverpool, having previously played for boss Jurgen Klopp at Mainz and Dortmund.

The Serbian will be the second defensive departure at Dortmund this summer, with Germany international Mats Hummels having signed for rivals Bayern Munich.

MK signing doesn't make sense? 23 goals and 32 assists in all competitions last season. Better than any Liverpool player. Enjoy 30mil Mane haha.

Ibra is picking up his paycheck and Mk signing does not make sense at all. All average overpriced players United is buying. Moaner laughing at himself
Why not buy Southampton scouting team, doesn't that make more sense and will be the cheaper option

Have any of all your expensive signings come good that either left or being subbed. Your youngsters looks more promising then your overpayed players. We'll see if Moaner buys more overpriced flops
