Yeah the looks don't really grab me...however how about those engine options!?
I could do with that 380kw version in my life,3.9 seconds to 100km/h in a smallish SUV sounds fun,I wonder what it sounds like!

Entry-level Alfa Romeo Stelvio revealed in patent images
This is our best look yet at the mass-market version of the Stelvio after Alfa’s first SUV was seen in hot Quadrifoglio form at the LA motor show
More details about the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV have been revealed in a set of patent images.
Five images were lodged for patent by Alfa Romeo parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and were picked up by Italian car site Auto Italia Evolution.
The base-spec Stelvio doesn’t look drastically different from the hot Quadrifoglio range-topper, although much of the performance model's aggressive styling has been toned down.
At the rear of the more mainstream Stelvio are two large exhaust pipes and the front gets a split lower grille like that of the Giulia. Although the image doesn’t reveal the alloy wheel design, the wheels fill the arches, which implies that large-diameter alloy wheels will be used on the bottom-spec car and throughout the rest of the range.
The engines in the Stelvio line-up will be the same as those in the Giulia's – a 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel for the majority of the range.
It’s expected that a Veloce model will be introduced, too, given that Alfa has also revealed to Autocar that a 276bhp, 295lb ft version of the 2.0-litre petrol engine will be used – the same engine that appears in the Giulia Veloce.
The Stelvio's trim levels are likely to follow those of the Giulia, with the base-spec car taking the name Stelvio, and the range then rising to Stelvio Super, Technica, Speciale, Veloce and finally Quadrifoglio.
Pricing for the Stelvio hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to start at around £40,000 for the lower-spec car seen in these latest images and the range-topping Quadrifoglio will be around £65,000.
Quadrifoglio-spec Stelvios are expected to be heavily outsold by the mainstream variants.

Next Jeep Grand Cherokee to be based on Alfa Romeo platform
FCA boss Sergio Marchionne said that the Grand Cherokee SUV is almost certain to use architecture from Jeep's Italian stablemates
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee due in 2018 or 2019 will be based upon the same architecture as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV and Giulia saloon, FCA boss Sergio Marchionne has confirmed.
Speaking at the Detroit motor show, Marchionne explained that FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) was completing a feasibility study into the viability of building the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee upon the rear-wheel-drive ’Giorgio’ platform.
“The most natural application of a further evolution of the Alfa Romeo platform is the Grand Cherokee,” he said.
“We’re finishing off the study now, but I’m going on the basis of the latest information, which is that it will be the basis upon which the Grand Cherokee will be developed, unless something happens in the next 60 days that suggests it isn’t doable.
“That would really complete the story of architectural development for us because I think it would certainly nail in a big piece of the Jeep story.”
The longitudinal-engined Giorgio architecture was developed by FCA at a cost of about £800m and can be adapted for a variety of vehicle types, in addition to having four-wheel-drive capability. Development of the platform focused on ensuring it was light in weight and imbued with good fundamental driving dynamics.
The current Grand Cherokee, launched in 2010, harks back to the Daimler-Chrysler era and shares its underpinnings with what was then called the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, now known as the GLE.

The standard version of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio has been revealed, and is now available to order in selected markets, including Europe
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Edition has been revealed, marking the first time we’ve seen the SUV not in its hot Quadrifoglio guise.
The First Edition is fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 276bhp and 295 lb ft of torque, coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This gives it a 0-62mph time of 5.7sec and a top speed of 143mph, which Alfa Romeo claims is class-leading performance.
With this engine, Alfa Romeo claims the Stelvio gets fuel economy of 40mpg and CO2 emissions of 161g/km.
The Q4 four-wheel drive system, which also features on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, sends 100% of the car’s torque to the rear wheels until it senses that more grip is needed, and can then split it 50/50 between front and rear.
Despite not being the range-topping model, the First Edition gets 20in wheels, aluminium paddle shifters and contrastingly coloured brake callipers. The styling is more toned down than the Quadrifoglio's, of course, with two large exhausts in place of the hot car’s four, less aggressive air intakes and more aerodynamically subdued bodywork.
Inside, there’s an 8.8in infotainment system with sat-nav and DAB, and a 7in TFT display set into the instrument panel. Leather upholstery and real wood trim replace the Alcantara and black finish of the performance model.
Standard equipment includes Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and lane departure warning, a reversing camera and all-round parking sensors, as well as an electrically powered tailgate and automatic lights.
It's likely that the regular Stelvio will be revealed in the metal at the Geneva motor show in March.

ALFA ROMEO LAUNCHES STELVIO WITH ‘FIRST EDITION’
After spending almost a century developing sportscars, sedans and hatchbacks, Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo is finally stepping into the SUV segment with the Stelvio. To launch this new model, the brand has unveiled a special “First Edition” derivative.
The Stelvio that had everyone’s tongues wagging was the 375 kW high-performance Quadrifoglio model, but this First Edition model will be offered with a 208 kW 2,0-litre turbocharged engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The First Edition is set apart by 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels (with black brake calipers), bi-Xenon headlamps and plenty of chrome trim. The interior also features a unique design courtesy of a black full-grain leather upholstery with wood trim.
A conclusive safety pack, featuring emergency braking, lane assist and a reversing camera, are also fitted as standard.
European customers may now order a First Edition at a price of €57 300 (around R828 500). The Italian SUV is expected to arrive in South Africa by the fourth quarter of this year.

I really really want to like this car, in fact it looks stunning BUT there is this lingering smack of familiarity. An unwelcome familiarity...
