More power than the GLA45 AMG now; its chief rival.

"The new Audi RS Q3 performance joins the RS6 Avant performance and the RS7 Sportback performance as the third member of the RS performance family. As the sporty subsidiary of AUDI AG, quattro GmbH is responsible for these high-performance models.

The output of the 2.5 TFSI engine has been increased by 20 kW (27 hp) to 270 kW (367 hp), helping the RS Q3 performance to a standard top speed of 270 km/h (167.8 mph). 465 Nm (343.0 lb-ft) of torque is available from 1,625 to 5,500 rpm; the RS Q3 performance sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 4.4 seconds. Combined fuel consumption in the NEDC cycle is 8.6 liters per 100 km (27.4 US mpg), corresponding to 203 g CO2 per km (326.7 g/mi). A recuperation system and a start-stop system contribute to this value. The emissions classification is Euro 6.

A small team of specially trained employees build the 2.5 TFSI by hand at the Audi site in Győr, Hungary."

For many people it's the "most pointless" RS Audi out there.

Current local price. Difference between this & the RS performance model is mostly academic

Chief (buddy guy) rival:

How does this not equate to over R1 million?

Firstly we don't even know (yet) if this "RS performance" model will come to RSA.

Even if it does do you really think the "performance parts" are worth a whopping a R231 000 increase (R770k - ~R1mill)?

Direct currency conversion of cars can be heavily skewed.

The Competition Package on the current M5; a proper upgrade not just power; is a R133 900 option from BMW SA

That is one good looking car...although the sQ3 would be good enough.

I wonder what the difference in space wise compared to the Q5

Yes. The performance parts have more a chance of being over the R200k than being less than R200k. Have you seen dealer prices lately? Every single thing is stupidly over priced. Our crap rand will make that problem worse going forward. If it comes here, I guarantee it will be over R1 million.

I would rather not debate this. I give ample proof of my reasoning. Best eg. Being the M5 Competition Pack add on.

Let's agree to disagree then.

LOL. Not trying to be a smart ass or anything. We can debate this.

What does the performance pack of the M5 cost in euro in Germany?

Much smaller, my company car is a Q3 and is not as spacious as the Q5.

It is 5000 Euro more than the standard RSQ3 which currently retails for R830 000 in SA.

830 000 / 56 000 = 14.82 per Euro

So 5000 Euro = R74 100.

So the RSQ3 performance will be around R905 000 base. Add R50k for extras and you are close to 1 Mil.
