Mercedes-AMG E63 S gets green wrap … and Brabus power!

The folks over at Fostla have partnered with German tuner Brabus to create this special Mercedes-AMG E63 S. In this case, Fostla brings the green wrap and fancy alloys while Brabus (naturally) provides the added oomph.

The Fostla-fettled E63 S gains an emerald-green-matte vinyl wrap from Platinum Wrapping Film, which is complemented by a glossy carbon front lip, grille and rear diffuser (the latter framing black ceramic-coated tailpipes).

A set of 21-inch alloys, powder-coated in black gloss with copper metallic pinstripes, has also been added, wrapped in 265/30 front and 305/25 rear Continental SportContact 6 tyres.

The Brabus B40S-800 package, meanwhile, takes the E63 S’s twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 from the stock 450 kW and 800 N.m of torque to a whopping 588 kW and 1 000 N.m. The end result is a claimed 0-100 km/h time of just 3,0 seconds.

The increased outputs have been achieved thanks to the addition of a plug-and-play PowerXtra module by Brabus along with a stronger pair of turbochargers and reinforced thrust bearings.

2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 Leaks Early

Another day, another leak. This time it's the 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S which has been spotted.

Thanks to Germancarforum, we get 2 photos of the super sedan. Trademark styling cues such as quad exhausts are clearly visible. We can also see the new-look rear lights.

It's not known if the new model will gain a power increase, but to be fair, the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo fitted to the current car delivers a thumping 450 kW and 850 Nm making it good for 3.4 seconds to 100 kph. Interestingly, we do know this powertrain is capable of 470 kW and 900 Nm, evidenced by the mighty Mercedes-AMG GT63 S 4-door.

New 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 facelift spotted

AMG's flagship estate will benefit from same raft of tweaks as standard E-Class, with reveal due later this year

Mercedes-AMG is soon to unveil an E63 with revisions that surfaced in the recently revealed E-Class facelift, and a thinly disguised prototype estate has been caught on the road.

With only light application of the usual body camouflage to trick the eye, we can clearly make out the updated headlight design and reconfigured grille and bumper of the updated E-Class.

Fewer changes are evident at the rear, although it looks as if the Mercedes-AMG version will use a more distinct, square tipped quad exhaust design and a new diffuser-style bumper.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Since the legendary "Hammer" of 1986, the E-Class with its superior engine has been one of the central models which form the brand core of Mercedes-AMG. In the latest generation, the sporty vehicle dynamics of the performance models from Affalterbach are combined with considerably more comfort and supplemented by an extensive design update: the central cooling air inlet in the completely restyled front section is significantly larger then before and now also bears the AMG-specific radiator grille with twelve vertical louvres and central star which is also larger. Together with the flatter all-LED multibeam headlamps, the model's characteristic wheel arches flared further outwards and the rounded-fit bonnet with powerdomes, a completely new, considerably more dynamic appearance is created. The reshaped front apron in a jet-wing design with three large, functional air intakes and front splitter influences the overall vehicle proportions and also significantly reduces lift at the front axle. The interior is also thoroughly enhanced: the Widescreen Cockpit, the new AMG Performance steering wheel and the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays underscore its membership of the AMG family.

The new look of the Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC+ models, which catches the eye at first glance, is also down to technical reasons to a large extent. In order to ensure optimum air throughput around the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine including charge air cooling, the outer air intakes in the jet-wing are not only particularly large; they also guide the air to where it is required in a targeted manner with the aid of two transverse louvres.

Refreshed Mercedes-AMG E63 S sedan gains … added comfort?

The facelifted Mercedes-AMG E63 S sedan has been revealed just a day after BMW unwrapped its refreshed M5 Competition. Affalterbach’s updated super-saloon combines high performance with what the firm describes as “considerably more comfort”.

Nothing’s changed under the bonnet, though, where a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 in the E63 S still delivers 450 kW and 850 N.m to all four corners (4Matic+ … again with a “drift mode”) via a nine-speed automatic transmission. As before, this results in a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in a claimed 3,4 seconds. Top speed is an electronically governed 300 km/h.

The design update, meanwhile, includes the adoption of a larger central cooling air inlet in the “completely restyled” front section. The LED headlamps are flatter than before, while Mercedes-AMG claims the wheel arches have been flared “further outwards” (some 27 mm). Furthermore, the bonnet gains fresh powerdomes and the front apron has been revised.

Round back, you’ll notice fresh taillamps extending into the boot lid, where they are linked with a high-gloss chrome trim strip. The lip on the boot lid is painted in the colour of the vehicle or offered in carbon-fibre with the optional AMG Carbon-Fibre Package Exterior II. The rear apron, too, has been revised, with its lower element finished in high-gloss black, while the twin-tailpipe trim elements has also been reshaped (and offered in various finishes).

The cabin, meanwhile, gains Mercedes-Benz’s “widescreen cockpit” arrangement comprising a pair of 12,25-inch displays in the E63 S, along with a new AMG Performance steering wheel with “haptic sensing aids” and the latest MBUX infotainment system featuring AMG-specific functions.
