Haha yeah, the Fortuner will actually come in handy for work , the 86 uhm, has zero practicality, but will be very entertaining :D

The drive itself was great with extra power when needed, however if I had to pick between the two I'd still go with the C-HR as the overall driving experience was just better.

I was once again left someone bored and that is when I spotted the all new Toyota 86, which to my surprise, was released today according to our sales lady. Naturally we decided to jump (or rather crawl/slide) in that bad boy for a spin, and oh my what a different experience that was. My adrenaline immediately elevated once I heard the roar when flooring the peddle and even more surprisingly, it glides over speed bumps. The car itself looks stunning, drives beautifully and also costs around R180 000 more than the C-HR.

Our final decision was to take the Fortuner and the 86, which we can alternate in driving.

I'll give some more feedback in the Toyota 86 thread once the car arrives hopefully next weekend.

If I attempted that with my brother, we'd both be fighting to get the keys to the 86 :D. Good luck finding a solution to that!
 
That won't be an issue, we get along nicely.

I see the new Toyota 86 hasn't even been put on the Toyota website yet. From the documents I got on Saturday it would appear the official SA release will be today.
 
Tried to compare with Baleno GLX and failed.
Will try to correct.

The Baleno seems like it's competition for the Yaris on the Toyota camp. It depends on if you want the extra ride height and ground clearance that a x-over offers.

Please read my reply more carefully. I did not mention either car is better. I am basically saying you are comparing apples with oranges. They are *not* direct rivals.

Ito of:

- Price
- Market positioning
- Target market

And a few other minor factors.
