I like their philosophy of not offering an "empty shell" and that the cars come fully specced. I think that Volvo makes good cars.

Not sure that I am crazy about those seats though! Also the dreaded Volvo resale. Resale is not something I usually worry too much about as I regard car purchases an expense rather than an asset, but with Volvo's you do need to consider this.

Thor Lights

I hope I'll be able to add the Thor lights on my 2013 V40, the grille looks like it could fit as well. But will have to wait for my motorplan to probably end first.

Tell us some specs about your MY2013 V40 + how has it treated you?

Would you consider another Volvo as your next car etc?

Scared about resale? etc...

I've got the D3 R-Design with Polestar, I'm enjoying it, had a few problems with it, but Volvo is always willing to fix anything as it's still under warranty. With the way the economy is today, I might just finish paying it off, keep it and extend the motorplan. Those Thor lights looking amazing though, I wish i could add them on mine.

That Evoque-like XC40 looks damn good, might go for it in future.

Just be careful not to have a heart attack when they tell how much one of those lights cost. :D

Cousin in the UK has her name down for the first Autonomous Volvo to be released later this year. She has already been for a drive in it and says it is wonderful.

The DLA in the UK have agreed to allow this car on the roads from October 2016.

So I await her comments when it has driven her to the shops and back

I want to go back to Volvo.

Had two ... they were nicely specced, reliable and built well ... and resale wasn't as bad as everyone made out on either actually. Now I've got an Audi and they're lacking on the service and reliability.

Volvo have definitely upped their service (as far as i can tell) - get a call every 3-6 months enquiring how i am finding the car and they also use it as an opportunity to update details and cross / up-sell as well. Product pipeline is also looking very good with the new platforms they are using to make the 90 series. Expecting new 60 series towards the end of next year then a refreshed 40 series 2018-2019. So there is a lot to look forward to.
