Manhart BMW M5 CS Pushes 888 HP (662 kW) And Can Hit 333 km/h

Manhart is back with another ‘Hurricane’ creation but this time it is the radically rapid BMW M5 CS that gets dialled up a notch.

The 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 has been tweaked to pump out a whopping 888 hp (662 kW) and 1,050 Nm (772 lb-ft) of torque. This was achieved thanks to a remapped ECU, new forged pistons and connecting rods. Manhart also fitted the Sedan with larger turbos featuring CNC-milled turbine and compressor housings while CAD-developed air coolers and a custom quad exhaust round off the mechanical changes.

The tuner did not mention anything about the performance figures but you can be sure it will be substantially quicker than the stock car which can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds flat.

G-Power gets hold of BMW M5 CS and the result is a 662kW super-saloon

With its significantly lighter kerb weight, exclusive features and a production run limited to around 1 000 units, the BMW M5 CS is already a very special car. G-Power, however, seems to feel that it could be even more special.

The German tuning powerhouse has unleashed its version of the 2022 M5 CS and it’s playing with some big numbers. G-Power made some serious modifications to the M5’s 4.4-litre turbocharged V8, raising outputs to 662kW and 1050Nm, up from the standard car’s 467kW and 750Nm.

Those impressive power gains are of course due to much more than just optimised electronics. In addition to the GP-900 software upgrade, the G-powered M5 comes with upgraded turbochargers, featuring larger compressor and turbine wheels to significantly increase the rate of airflow.

The V8 engine also gains new forged pistons and conrods, and buyers can look forward to a rumbly G-Power Deeptone sports quad exhaust system with adjustable flaps and carbon fibre tailpipes.

The G-Power G5M Hurricane RR is a M5 CS on steroids

The M5 CS ranks high within BMW’s performance fleet and the larger automotive world as a whole. As a stylish sedan straddling the line between the luxury conveyor and otherworldly performance sedan, it has quickly become a “must have”. That said, who doesn’t love a little more oomph and flair? Introducing, G-Power’s G5M Hurricane RR.

Before we dive into the changes G-Power have made, let’s look at the stats of an unaltered BMW M5 CS. The BMW M5 CS is powered by BMW’s S63 engine which is a 4,4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 467 kW and 750 Nm. The power, weight, and chase refinements found in the M5 CS result in one of the most high-strung and outrageous products to ever roll off of BMW’s production line. Sadly only a handful have been made, but if you are one of the lucky owners of this motoring masterpiece then you might want to check out G-Power if adding more power and style to your car is an item on your M5 CS owner’s checklist.

Codenamed the G5M Hurricane RR, this beefed-up M5 CS produces 662 kW and 1050 Nm. That’s a big difference compared to the stock M5 CS and the reason for this is the addition of forged pistons, forged connecting rods, upgraded turbos and turbo components. Alongside engine internals are G-Power’s DeepTone exhaust system affording the G5M a truly unique exhaust note.

New 2024 BMW M5 to get 700bhp-plus hybrid V8

Reinvented super-saloon hits the track as M division steps up its electrification push

BMW’s M performance car division will give the seventh-generation BMW M5 a new hybrid drivetrain that is set to boost its reserves to “over 700bhp” and offer “limited electric drive compatibility”, a source close to the German car maker has confirmed.

Due on sale in 2024, the new super-saloon is among a series of M models that will switch from a conventional petrol engine to plug-in hybrid power in a move that will provide it with a hike in power and performance.

Details remain scarce just under two years out from the new M5's launch, but Autocar has received information that suggests it will adopt a rear-mounted electric motor among a raft of major engineering changes.

The in-house-produced synchronous unit is claimed to operate in combination with a further-developed version of BMW's twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine used by today’s sixth-generation BMW M5 and codenamed the S63.

The adoption of the electric motor is set to increase the M5’s reserves by more than 200bhp and up to 220lb ft to somewhere in the region of 790bhp and over 737lb ft of torque.

Next-Gen BMW M5 To Pack 700 HP

We have known for some time that the next BMW M5 would be packing a plug-in hybrid V8 setup shared with the XM but what would the sedan get in terms of power.

This combination between a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 mild-hybrid and an e-motor is good for 644 hp in the standard XM and 738 hp in next year’s XM Label Red. It looks as though the M5’s setup will roughly split the difference by packing a rumoured 700 hp.

Well-known BMW insider ynguldyn shared the yet-to-be-confirmed output in a recent post on the Bimmer Post forums.

Manhart Tweak BMW M5 CS Up To 777 HP (579 kW)

When the BMW M5 CS was introduced, it became the most powerful production BMW in the world thanks to the familiar 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 delivering a whopping 626 hp (467 kW).

Manhart Performance can now offer you the MH5 GTR which takes things up to 777 horses (579 kW) and 935 Nm (690 lb-ft). This was made possible through the use of Manhart’s in-house carbon air intake and MHtronik auxiliary control unit.

There is also a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, which flows into four 100 mm tailpipes.
