You are probably the only one Rick + Morty. The fax machine-sounding McLaren MP4-12C was their 1st attempt bar the F1. It was a good 1st attempt but lacked soul.

Also the styling was rather generic back then even.

Every new model since has been an exponential improvement over the previous version.
 
I'm also not 100% behind the front, but it's the orange that makes it look even worse. On the white/red it looks a lot better.
 
I've watched pretty much every video review of this car and while most are rendered almost speechless when they plant their right foot, very few seem to be laughing, giggling or out-rightly smiling their way through the review.
Unlike videos of the new GT3 where you could practically feel the excitement and enjoyment coming from the drivers.
Many have said that the car is almost "too good". ...if that's possible.
Perhaps it's more its overall breadth of ability that leave you a bit shell shocked.
Still.....I'd get one :)
