Where can I find the 2019 Matric Results? Or just whether my kid pass or not.

How to get your results

Learners can access their results (or register to receive them) in the following ways:

- Learners can obtain their results directly from the schools or learning facilities at which the exams were written. These results may only be available after 12h00 on the day.
- Learners can access their results directly by logging onto the Department of Basic Education’s website here. Alternatively, students who took the IEB examinations can access their results from the IEB website here
- A number of online news websites will publish the results – including News24’s Matric Results page.
- Download the MatricsMate App for free from Google Play and Apple App Stores.
- SMS your exam number to the SABC’s 45856. The system verifies the exam number; your exam number must be correct in order to be accepted. Learners will be charged R1-50 per SMS, free SMSes do not apply.
- Dial *120*45856# enter exam number to register. You will be charged R1-50 per minute and the results will be sent to your phone as soon as they are available.
- For those wanting to use the Department of Education’s services, learners can send their ID number and exam number via SMS to 35658 or use the USSD service by dialling *120*35658#

The Department of Basic Education will release the class of 2019’s National Senior Certificate matric results on 8 January 2019.

Because they don't get released until tomorrow.

IEB results are out though.

I still can't access the Matric Results from any of the sources in the business tech article.

Anyone know if any newspapers printed the matric passes?

I've tried every ussd function in all the articles, sent SMSs, downloaded apps, went to about 5 or 6 websites mentioned in various articles. Still nothing.

And yet we had loadshedding in anticipation of results that wasn't released yet.

None of those portals worked last year either when we were waiting for my son's results... I get what you're going through.

He had to go up to the school to get his results, I think it was mid morning or a bit later but I could be mistaken (I can't exactly remember).

Don't bother with the online portals.

Yes, I think I'll do this. 1st day back at the office today. I'm going to leave at 11 and get him and go to the school.

I hear now that the Western Cape might only receive their results tomorrow.

The Western Cape has done that for several years, AFAIK. It gives the principals a chance to check the results and see if there are glaring errors and identify pupils who might need support through the process.

Ask Eskom, they seem to be involved some or other way.
