2020 Salary increase thread

I’ve heard about this thing called increases. Let me tell you mine. HR actually phoned me and asked if I could lower my rate so they could send me to even more customers. This is the rate THEY appointed me on

40% increase but had to chance jobs to get it.

Couldn’t be happier for having done it though.

Funnily enough did the same increase when flipping to the previous job but got hardly inflationary increases while there for 4 years.

We generally just do inflation.

But this year, understandably, nothing.

Our group made it clear that we are not getting any increases for the next 4 months.

Expecting a 10% decrease to be announced next week and bonus cancelled for 2020.
Expenses have actually gone up recently with the little one who just started daycare.

0% increase, no bonus. Virus cited as the reason and the current poor market. Massive BS though as the company paid out fat dividends to their shareholders.

I feel better about my 10% decrease now.
The people at the top are taking a 50% cut.

40% (promotion) last week.
was also expecting 5-6% in july but not sure now after all this k@k

5%,back dated to January. Better than expected, especially as we had retrenchments last year.

6.8%. Glad that it was sorted out prior to the lockdown. Unions holding out for more probably regret not reaching a compromise.

8% . Year end bonus will probably be zero this year with C19

Got 8% increase and a 15% of ctc for a bonus. Next year will probably get the same and maybe a promotion increase.

Luckily I’m in the property/telecommunications industry which actually benefits from this virus.

I guess the only negative is if we make too much money, our following year targets is based on the previous year. Well I guess it’s a good problem to have.

Hah, Imagine being told at the beginning of 2019 "No increase this year but expected a substantial bump in 2020..

C19: Hold my Beer.
