Honda has unveiled the 2026 iteration of the Elevate, its sole compact SUV offering in India. The refreshed car adds updates to the exterior and interior, and new features to bridge the gap to other offerings in a highly competitive segment.

On the outside, the Elevate facelift gets a revised mesh grille with gloss black upper and lower mouldings; the logo has been relocated to the hood lip, and tri-bar LED position lamps are added near the grille’s upper edge. It also gets a gloss black treatment on the front and rear lower bumper garnish, wheel arches and fenders.

Roof rails have been updated, and the car gets an alloy upsize to 17-inch Berlina Black dual-tone wheels with a dark clear finish. At the rear, the tail lamps are now a connected LED strip. CVT variants get disc brakes all around.

On the inside, the Elevate facelift gets a dual-tone ivory-black cabin with some soft touches (ZX+ Black gets an all-black cabin), LED cabin lamps, wraparound orange ambient lighting and piano black treatment on AC vents. Leather-upholstered powered front-row seats get 8-way adjustment for the driver and 4-way for the passenger, while both rows get ventilated seats.

The manual handbrake has been replaced with an electronic parking brake equipped with auto-hold, while the one-touch electric sunroof is still a single-pane specimen.

The electronics package now includes a 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear parking sensors, a digital-analogue 7-inch HD TFT instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rearview camera with guidelines and lane-watch view for easy manoeuvrability, front and rear USB-C ports and a PM2.5 AQI display.

ISOFIX mounts and Honda Sensing ADAS continue to be offered, with adaptive cruise control now getting a low-speed follow function.

The Elevate facelift continues to be powered by the tried and tested 1.5L 4-cylinder i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol motor producing 119 BHP and 145 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed CVT.

Colour choices include a new Nordic Forest Pearl colour, available in both single-tone and dual-tone (with a black roof) options.

Other colours include single-tone Obsidian Blue Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl, while Radiant Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl are offered in both single and dual-tone (with a black roof) options.

The Elevate facelift is available in five manual transmission trims (SV, V, VX, ZX and ZX+) and four CVT trims (V, VX, ZX and ZX+).

Honda Elevate prices start from Rs. 11.80 lakh ex-showroom for the SV MT variant, going up to Rs. 18.40 lakh for the ZX+ CVT variant.

Facelifted Honda Elevate revealed and locked in for SA

The facelifted Honda Elevate has been revealed in India – and the Japanese brand’s local division has already confirmed when we will see the updated crossover in SA…

- Refreshed Honda Elevate revealed in India
- Updates to crossover are largely cosmetic
- Facelifted model expected in SA in H1 2027

Meet the facelifted Honda Elevate. Freshly revealed in India, the updated crossover debuts a handful of exterior design changes as well as some new equipment. And it’s already been locked in for South Africa, where the Elevate serves on Honda’s top seller.

Yes, Honda Motor Southern Africa has confirmed to Cars.co.za that the refreshed Elevate is scheduled to touch down in Mzansi at some point in the opening half of 2027, with various specification “enhancements” on the cards.

From what we can tell, the Elevate’s facelift is largely cosmetic. Up front, you’ll notice a new gloss-black, honeycomb-effect grille, above which Honda’s designers have added a trio of LED strips (effectively connecting the headlamps).

The chrome trim that was sited above the pre-facelift model’s grille falls away in favour of a black bar, while the foglamp bezels gain body-coloured elements. Interestingly, the Honda badge has been shifted from the grille to the leading edge of the bonnet.

Around back, the taillights are now linked by an in-vogue LED bar. Taking a look at the profile, we see the 2-tone alloy-wheel design appears to have been retained. We do, however, expect new exterior paint options to be added to the colour palette.

Inside, Honda has rolled out not only fresh soft-touch materials (and ostensibly more effective sound insulation) but also some extra kit. In the Indian market, for instance, the facelifted Elevate is now available with big-car items like a 360-degree camera system, ambient cabin lighting, a sunroof, powered (and ventilated) front seats and even rear-seat ventilation.
