2025 will see huge advances in quantum computing

Honestly the reboot was not all too bad, a far far better attempt than the Knight Rider half-arsed jobbie.

It made it to 2 seasons before it got the can, most of the episodes were engaging enough, just ignore a certain subtext.

How do we correct the errors?

Fortunately, we don’t have to build perfect qubits.

Over the last 30 years, researchers have designed theoretical techniques which use many imperfect or low-fidelity qubits to encode an abstract “logical qubit”. A logical qubit is protected from errors and, therefore, has very high fidelity. A useful quantum processor will be based on many logical qubits.

Nah, sorry, I don't get this. However you look at it, it sounds like, for instance, 100 mad men racing around that are put in a temporary(?) orderly combined state, and that ordered squad of sorts is then able to assume being... perfect?!?!?!
Ke?😝

Anyone here knowledgeable enough to explain in real world terms?

Faster computing = faster chatGPT = more articles = more duplicate articles = more moaning = more fighting = world war = extinction.

Quantum computing AI is also progressing. Still midway somewhere in development, but I don't think it's all that long now. They're making a lot of progress using techniques like ZX-Calculus to simplify qubit programming and boost error correction. The field is even overflowing somewhat into new physics. Some of it resonating heavily with emerging theories such as Wolfram Network Rewriting Processes. It's truly hectic ****.

Reminds me of fusion energy. The fruits of all the expensive research are always "just around the corner". TBH, I can't work out whether the whole quantum thing is a gigantic waste of time and money, or if it really has promise.

It's at least showing good actual results, even though they aren't of real productive value yet.
