Our client, a major player in the Digital Learning arena is on the lookout for a Technical (Mid level) Developer.
The role of the Developer will be to accompany the sales team to meetings to be on hand to answer technical questions and to assist the client to find a good solution for their needs. Create applications for clients and support existing applications. At times the applicant will be asked to assist with the proposal and quoting process.
In general the applicant should be familiar with how to plan a project and deliver solutions. The applicant will need to meet with clients and be able to discuss solutions for the client from a technical and layman’s point of view. The applicant will need to good verbal and written communication skills as they will need to liaise with project managers, clients and other technical team members.
QUALIFICATION
* Computer/Programming degree or diploma preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
* 3-4 years of relevant experience required
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
* OOP and framework experience/knowledge
* Moodle knowledge is preferred
* Database – MySQL and SQL server (additional database knowledge a plus)
* APACHE and MySQL along with WAMP or XXAMP stack experience
* Working knowledge of webservers - in particular Linux and IIS server knowledge.
* FTP
* Website security
* Mobile experiencing a bonus
* HTML5 a plus
* IOS knowledge a plus
* Android Knowledge a plus
Languages:
* PHP 5 and up
* JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
* HTML
* CSS
* XML
* Action script
Soft Skills:
* Must be in the habit of backing up code
* Good debugging skills
* Team player
* Familiar with industry standards and best practices
* Game development
