Greetings all :)

I hope I can get some help, I am looking at upgrading my ADSL to a 20mbps line and when using the ADSL checker, it states that 20mbps is available in my area and it states "(copper)"

Would that be considered VDSL or would that still fall under ADSL ? ...

Next question would be, I am looking into maybe starting to stream twitch, would 10mbps/20mbps be fast enough or would it just be a pointless exercise in frustration with SA internet ?

All information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

:::EDIT:::

Which ISP would you guys recommend I look at for what I am looking to do

20mbps can be run on ADSL2+ or VDSL, i get about 17.30mbps on ADSL2+ if you can get VDSL rather go for that as you will get a few mbps extra on the upload and a few more on the DL. As for streaming, you need 5mb/s for 1080p streams (according to Netflix) so will have more than enough speed to stream multiple streams. For ISP, the only choice right now i think would be VOX Telecom. Great streaming and overall a great service from them.

Would VDSL and ADSL run on the same copper ? ... How can I find out which is supported by my exchange ?

By streaming I meant that I would like to start streaming on Twitch.tv, I was wondering what kind of upload speeds would be needed to maintain lets say 720p or 1080p?

I was looking at VOX simply because AH right now is a piece of garbage

But you will probably still get 20mbps ADSL2+ Im a few blocks away from VDSL and still get 20mb/s ADSL2+ Twitch streaming wont do well with the 1mbps upload speed though.
