220V piezo buzzer

driving into midrand != fun though :/

No other suppliers that are more reasonably situated?

Not that I am aware off...
You could try an AC/DC Express electrical store in the area? They are going to be expensive though...

Pffft. Communica in Midrand is next to the highway. Just park on the highway, walk over, purchase your stuff, walk back, flip the bird to the spietkop writing out a ticket, and drive away :p :D

Just go fetch it from RS in midrand. Kyalami business park, just up the hill from the racetrack.

annoy-o-tron  :D

Yup

When we get shed, I turn the mains off until power's returned stably. Too many people in my area busy with claims against shitty power for fried appliances.
And considering our usual slot ends after my bedtime, I don't want the power to be off until the morning. So the buzzer can let me know I can switch on again.

Just out of interest, I see you want to get the 91db piezo, you do know that's VERY loud hey. That thing will freak you out if it sounds in the middle of the night :p

It's the only 220V one i've found. Any other suggestions welcomed :p

Or maybe instead of mounting in on the surface of a light switch box, I'll just tuck it inside :D

Maybe get a 5 volt piezzo and adaptor... Or one of those 2nd WW sirens will also work. Then the whole neighborhood will know the power is back on.

Ja, that would make more sense :)

12 and 5v piezo buzzers are much easier to find. Most electronic shops stock them. If you can get hold of say a 5v one and use an old cellphone charger, you'd be set.
