It seems like after setting everything up 22Seven will work for a few weeks, and then it'll start kicking up login errors. I've deleted the profile and recreated it three times now and each time it's the same result after a few weeks. Is there something special that I need to do here? I swear it worked fine most of last year

Mine is still working fine. Never had any problems.

They require you to log into FNB, from time to time and approve the connection. Can't remember where to go, on the FNB web page, though.

Never had to this. Signed up and linked my accounts. I can see 22seven log in every day around 12 as I get a login notification.

It's because of FNB and there silly "scam warning" notifications etc.

You need to login on that account and "approve/accept" those warnings first.

It's more an FNB problem than a 22Seven one.

They should really just turn that off for the read-only accounts.

That sounds like it may be the culprit, how often do you typically need to do this?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you’re having some trouble with your accounts!

There could be a number of reasons why they aren’t playing along. We’d need to take a look at your profile to determine the exact cause of the error and advise on how you/we can go about fixing it.

However, what springs to mind in this case is that over the past few days a phishing warning has been displaying on the FNB website. We'll need you to log in and accept that message before we're able to update your accounts again. We of course don't want to automatically accept these warnings on your behalf in case you haven't seen them, as they're important messaging from a security perspective.

Apart from this, if your accounts do error out in future, then in most cases this is the result of problems with a service provider’s website, or them performing maintenance. FNB, specifically, tends to perform maintenance almost every Sunday evening. During these times, we may be blocked from logging into your profile at all, or the update process may encounter other obstacles that prevents it from completing.

Trying again a few hours later usually sorts the above out, but we don’t suggest deleting and re-linking your accounts, as this results in you losing your older transaction history. Instead, if you’d like us to take a closer look at the error, please click on the “Ask us to investigate” button on one of your errored-out accounts in the app, or pop us a mail to [email protected]. We’re available from 8am - 8pm every day, and you can typically expect a response within a few minutes ;)

I see The Svens commented above but to answer your question I'd say maybe once a quarter or so.

I just save those account details in my browser to make it easier.

Their support is very good and fast so in future just contact them directly.

I'm having no luck, some FNB accounts sync fine while others do not.

Edit:
It's fine now, just a timeout issue that sorts itself out.
