Wait, what are you playing your XBox on at the moment? If you're using an LCD computer monitor, then you can use that with the PS3 too

naah, just a good old fashioned standard tv that's about 7 or so years old. it was a hand-me-down. and no the other one we got is also a good old fashioned standard tv, though when the dude sold it to us, he showed us one of two that were HD ready, that was a few years ago before HD was the must-have and my parental went with the standard (we didn't know what HD was).

Get that HD TV or some HD/widescreen monitor first. Your 360 games will seem like new on it and then you can get the PS3.

Can I ask a few doff questions (not doff to me 'cos i don't know these things but maybe for you guys )

1. i already have an xbox 360 (60G) and a Wii, should i get this PS3 bundle?
2. i saw in another thread summing about blue-ray discs playing on ps3, do they?
3. what is an hdmi cable?
4. do you have to have an HD tv for ps3 (i'm sure you need it for blue-ray)
5. will my parental unit have a puppy if i buy this too?
6. Will the ps3 be as difficult to connect to the bloody internet as Xbox (i've been trying for 2 days now and nothin'! I did it before and upgraded the Xbox, that was quite a few months ago and now i can't get it right again!)

3. It's a fancy little cable that is used to transmit the high def signal between the console and the screen.:erm:
4. You don't have to, but it is a very nice excuse to have one. You get your normal RCA type cable with the console.
5. Why would they, get your dad addicted and you'll have no worries.
6. I plugged in the network cable and BANG, it worked. Maybe i was just lucky

You need an HDTV. I guarentee you that it will be an entirely new experience to your console gaming.
