255/40/19 Tyre pressure

Try a bit of RTM...Read The Manual ;)

And which manual would that be? I looked in the car's manual and it only says to check the door panel for the tyre pressures. The door panel doesn't list them. And yes, I know I could phone the dealer to find out tomorrow, but I was hoping someone that might have the same size tyres could help me today.

Tyre pressure depends on weight not size, therefore it would be the same as the oe tyres. I personally prefer 2 bar which is slightly over inflated.

I think it's written on the actual tyre itself ...

Car manufacturers usually put information in the car manual or the inside of the fuel cap. That however is only applicable if you use OEM tyres.

For example my car comes standard with normal profile tyres and recommend 1.8bar in the front and 2bar in front. But with low profiles the tyre manufacturer recommends 2.5bar. Best go check the web-site for the given tyre.

Phoned Audi Centurion now, and they say for that size the recommended pressure is:

Half load: 2.5 at the front, 2.4 at the back
Heavy load: 2.7 at the front, 3.0 at the back.

Think I'll go for 2.6 all round though.
