hi jack
So I upgraded to a 2700k i7 and every ti,me I try to install Windows 7 I get a Hardware error blue screen telling me to take out or reinstall new hardware I might installed. Sure its only the CPU MB an the ram I have to take out.
Now in the bios the memory shows up as 8gig DDR3 1333 Mhz but invact its 8GB DDR3 1600 Mhz Memory.

So software or hardware problem ?

Was the processor the only thing that was changed? or did you change Ram as well?

I had the same problem 4 times
1st time - Power Supply was faulty
2nd time - 1 of the Ram Modules went
3rd time - Power Supply was faulty
4th time - Hard Drive was faulty

I would suggest double checking your Motherboard / CPU / RAM are compatible with each other.
Clear the Bios settings, restore defaults, remove the battery on the board for 15mins then put it back.
Then try an install with only 1 Ram module... remove the other Ram modules.
Then try swapping Power Supplies with another machine.

Claytons advice is spot on. The only other thing I can add to that is check your hard drive partitioning. Use Windows 7 to delete all partitions and recreate them again. I got blue screens with the same error message a couple of times previously if I used a drive that was already partitioned Doesn't make a lot of sense, but it worked for me.

Was a CPU MB and mem upgrade
went from 960 i7 to 2700k

Reagading the RAM, not that it would be part of the problem but, does your board support 1600MHz DDR3 RAM?

Bios setting for RAM was on AUTO set it to 1600 Mhz DDR3 and blue screen almost stoped. Got windows up and running but now for the live of me cant get the wireless card up and running that and even the onboard lan doesnt wanna connect to the switch

Now when I do a normal shut down I sometimes get a "windows has recovered from a criticall error" when I boot the pc up again. Anyone know whats the problem ? Also got the blue screen about 2 times after I managed to instill windows
