2G , 3G Question [can't send MMS]

I have one of these cameras that send pics to your mobile phone but it works on 2G technology.
I assumed if you have a 3G sim card it would by default also use 2G but it doesn't appear to work that way?

I have a black cell c sim which I assume is their 3G and when I put it in the camera it doesn't send MMs but then when I use the old colour red sim which I assume is the old 2G sim it sends MMs just fine.

Or could it be something else, that the black sim is not setup for MMs or something?

I also think something else. SIM might not be MMS enabled? Try sending an MMS from a regular phone. Are MMS settings stored on the SIM card? (my Nokia N9 picked up Cell-C's MMS settings when I put in a Cell-C SIM) Do you have airtime on the black SIM?
