So earlier today I bought 1gb data. Used it for a minute or two then it was all gone. Bought another 1gb data bundle later and again it was all gone after a minute.

I see on twatter that other people have been experiencing the same issues today. Anyone here with the same problems? Seems like Vodacom employees are on a festive looting spree and stealing their customers' data and money again.

Also, on a different note, if I win 1gb Facebook data with that shake thingy, is that data only for Facebook or can that be used for other things as well?

Am I the ONLY person on mbb that has ZERO issue's with Vodacom????

Certainly seems like it to me.

My data has disappeared before but never twice in a row like this. Too scared to buy another data bundle now because I know it will disappear again. Just wondering if there's some sort of issue with Vodacom today. They better sort this out.

I had the same 1gig bundle last week and I think it lasted about 7 days or something which is fine.

Do you guys use Vodacom data often? The only real issues I've ever had with them are data related

Install glasswire and see where your data is going.. you will know pretty quickly if it's Vodacom that's broken in some way or a rogue app of some sorts just chowing through your data..

I'm on Vodacom prepaid. I never turn data off. Always connected. On LTE.

I go to sleep. I'm at say 100Mb left.
I wake up I'm on 99.8Mb. That's 8 hours later.

My data does not get stolen or dissapear.

Well my phone isn't any different today than it was last week or even yesterday when I had no issues. The app on my phone that used the most data today only used like 98mb. And like I said other people had the same complaints today of disappearing data.

You have nothing to lose by installing glasswire and get a better view of your data usage.. if you want to blame Vodacom, get the evidence that proves it..

I need data for that so I have data and money to lose.

Bought another small data bundle last night. Did some quick work which used very little (almost no) data, switched off my data, switched my phone off and went to bed. This morning I switched my phone on, data is 0MB again. Checked my built in data monitor, nothing used that amount of data.

Will try glasswire but first I need to buy yet some more data for that.

This just started happening yesterday. Before that everything was fine. Haven't installed or downloaded anything new, automatic updates are always disabled etc, so I don't know what's happening. Must be an issue with Vodacom

Hmm I see there's 10GB data for only R159 which is a bargain I think although it's just for 7 days. Don't know if I should buy it now though because I don't know if it will disappear as well

See the critters came out of the woodwork.

If you have no issues with Vodacom, then go create a thread about it. OP has an issue and a thread was created for it to discuss it.

I had same issue a while back. Install Glasswire, it helps bigtime. Turns out, after Android update, some Wi-Fi only settings were changed and my Whatsapp backup chowed all of the data.

I'm gonna give glasswire a try. Quickly before my date runs out.....

Had trouble downloading glasswire for some reason so I downloaded DataEye instead. Set it so that only 1 app other than the 3 essentials uses data. Data for everything else is now disabled. So far total data usage according to dataeye is little over 4mb after playing around on internet for about an hour.

Gonna give that 10gb data a go and see what happens.
