Hi all

Has anyone upgraded from the premium 1mb uncapped data to the cheap 2mb uncapped R239? I am a fairly heavy downloaded between 30 -50 gb per month. Will mainly use it for youtube and a few downloads HTML not much p2p.

Will it work or will the FUP kill me ? As the premium 2mb just seems ridiculously expensive. Oh and due to the need to keen a very old email address I can't change.

Regards

I don't think 30 - 50GB will count as fairly heavy nowadays.
Which ISP?

Certainly not heavy for Telkom.
I got 300gb and more on my 2mb.

I think Dr Who means this: http://www.mweb.co.za/productspricing/2/Home/adsl/UncappedADSL.aspx

I've never had experience with those MWEB products, but reading what other people say about that MWEB product makes me say stay very far away! Why not go with Telkom 2Mbps uncapped... at R459 including your line and data it's not too bad ;) http://www.do.co.za/broadband/offerings/telkom-internet-plans/uncappedbundle/do-uncapped-advanced/

...and now for your email, downgrade your account so that you don't have uncapped but pay for your email address only and then use Telkom or another service provider if you want for you ADSL.

Thanks for the update - Stupid me thought I put Mweb as the ISP in the header.
