2Mb/s good enough?

Hi there is a 2Mb/s wireless connection good for online gaming on xbox one?
 
Except for the time it takes to download it should be fine. Gaming is generally not bandwidth intensive, just response time.
 
Well its a lte router deal Via telkom. But they are limiting the lte speeds down to 2Mb/s uncapped. And then from the router to xbox it can be wired or wireless.
 
Before committing to anything, get a prepaid sim and loadup some data. Post your results here to keep us updated and take it from there :).

Do you have an option of getting ADSL?
 
I dont have option to go adsl unfortunatly. And im already using telkom lte with great results. But its 10gig capped. Im just worried this speed restriction will cause problems
 
It sounds you looking at using a WISP. If the installation is done right with line of sight you'll get 2Mb speeds. More than enough for console gaming.
 
If its lte then its just over R800pm including the router. Note that there is no other wisp companies in witbank. Besides two other in the same price range with a 3k+ installation fee. My current plan for 10+10gig pm is R440

Telkom slashed their prices on this I believe, a few days after I decided to cancel my LTE application for adsl :( lokl

Oh and to add, I play very fine on my 2mb, mostly BF3
